Maddison Kirley and David Reumer have their tools ready to take out the Stihl Timbersports Australian Trophy Championship on March 5. The couple are confident and relaxed to enter the competition in South Australia. The pair will compete in a number of consecutive competitions where they need to qualify to the next round.
Joadja Distillery Southern Highlands gin gifted to Queen for Platinum Jubilee
Whilst we treat our local producers like royalty, one local distiller has gotten the royal treatment and had their gin gifted to Her Majesty the Queen. Joadja Distilery was commissioned by the Government House to craft a dry gin which reflected the aromas and flavours of NSW. It was then presented to Queen Elizabeth II for her Platinum Jubilee by the Governor of NSW Margaret Beazley AC QC on the behalf of NSW.
Dance for Cancer stars of the Southern Highlands announced
The names of the locals strapping on their dancing shoes and getting groovy to raise funds for the Cancer Council have been revealed. What could be considered our version of Dancing with the Stars, will see ten Highlanders partnered with a professional. The pairs will then learn and perform a routine for 200 people.
Moss Vale swimmer Joshua Moore heads to Wingecarribee District PSSA Swimming Carnival
One budding swimmer has qualified for the Wingecarribee District PSSA Swimming Carnival, which has given him the opportunity to compete against other young competitors across the Highlands. Robertson Primary School student Joshua Moore placed forst in backstroke and has been practicing with the Moss Vale Swimming Club.
Amaroo Valley Springs provides a space for a couple to bond in Married at First Sight
One business in Kangaroo Valley has been inundated with calls since it was featured as a honeymoon destination on Married at First Sight. Amaroo Valley Springs staff turned up the romance for the show's newest couple Jessica and Daniel. The property gave the newlyweds the space to bond and learn more about one another.
Frances Madden and band to jazz up Bowral Bowling during 'Beautiful World' tour
Frances Madden is making her way to Bowral after her concert was postponed during last year's lockdown. The singer-songwriter will perform songs from her album Beautiful World, which received five nominations in the 2021 Australian Songwriters Awards. She will bring her jazz and contemporary songs to life with a seven-piece band.
