Moss Vale Swimming Club member Joshua Moore has qualified for the Wingecarribee District PSSA Swimming Carnival after he placed first in the 50m backstroke for Junior Boys at the Robertson Primary School Carnival.
He will join many other students from schools throughout the shire who will compete at Bowral Pool on Wednesday.
This is Josh's second year swimming with the club on a Friday night at Moss Vale Aquatic Centre and he has improved immensely during that time.
On Friday Josh swam in the 100m individual medley for the first time, completing it in a time of three minutes and seven seconds. Once he had memorised the order of the strokes, he confidently dove into the water and swam solidly in the four lap event.
Best wishes to all of the swimmers competing for their schools on Wednesday vying for a spot on the Wingecarribee PSSA team to swim at Dapto in the Regional Championships.
