- Emma McGill (Emma McGill Makeup Artist)
- Jakob Overduin (Hendriks Bar Southern Highlands)
Participants are set to begin their training this month, working towards reaching their fundraising targets and competing for three awards up for grabs: Judges' Choice, People's Choice and Highest Fundraiser.
Community relations coordinator for the Cancer Council's southern office said she was excited to see what this year's line up of Stars had in store for us.
"Stars of The Highlands is a once in a lifetime opportunity for local heroes to live out their dream of taking to the stage and performing as a Star," she said.
"They have an opportunity to step out of their comfort zone to fundraise and Dance for Cancer whilst learning something new.
"It's amazing to see these individuals take on the dance journey and seeing the impact and awareness they create amongst the Southern Highlands community of Cancer Council's work.
"The aim is to have people from all areas of the community participate, demonstrating how we can all contribute and make a difference."
Since its inception in 2017, Stars of The Highlands have raised more than $200,000.
Last year was a success following the event being cancelled the previous year due to COVID-19 with fundraising amounting to $60,025.
Miss Moore said she hoped this year would be "even better."
"We are set for an amazing night on Saturday May 14, 2022," she said.
"Our goal is to raise $100,000."
Funds raised by Stars of The Highlands will contribute to local Cancer Council NSW initiatives such as our transport to treatment, prevention programs and offer access to free financial, legal, and emotional support.
Stars of the Highlands will be held on May 14 at the Mittagong RSL. Doors open at 6 pm.
