The 23-year-old singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist is being showcased as Highland FM's 100% Home Grown artist of the month.
Listeners will discover his latest releases Leave the Light On, Cover Me and Before it Begins featured on the station until the end of October.
"I write everything from my acoustic guitar or piano, and that's where all of my ideas come from," he said in an interview on Highland FM.
People across the Highlands might recognise his talents in the Ross Webb and the Rusted Track and Eklypse bands.
Much of the inspiration for his songs comes at night, where he draws on personal experiences and relationships.
Whether the lyrics or musical elements come first is not a linear process, but building on an idea is a highlight for the artist.
"It's a very good feeling to put streams of consciousness down on paper and it makes sense, and if it doesn't make sense, you can edit and fix it and make it make sense," he said.
"I think with music, there's nothing that's off limits, and there's always something else to be said, there's always something else to be conquered."
Writing songs is something he does for personal enjoyment, but he said it was great to share it with audiences.
"I like to make them feel like a part of the whole experience... I will have a chat to them or I'll catch up with them afterward," he said.
Tune into Highland FM on 107.1 to hear Ben's songs and talents.
