Moss Vale Evening CWA has responded to a call for pyjamas, knickers, singlets and socks for children to use after an unexpected visit, or transfer to another hospital. The recent cold snap had increased demand for such items and the enthusiastic group was quick to lend a hand. It was among several branches to provide these items to the CWA's State office. The items were then distributed to several hospitals.

Donations to the local group also featured other clothing, books, games, toys, pencils, bathroom bags, useful bags, library bags, premmie baby beanies, adult nighties, angel blankets, trama dollies and more. It was record collection for the group and just one of the ways the CWA helps women and families across the NSW.
The effort follows a recent sewing day to make laundry bags for Aussie soldiers serving overseas. More sewing days are planned.
Moss Vale Evening CWA meets at various times (morning, noon and night) at the Community Hall in Queen Street, Moss Vale. The coffee and craft mornings are on the fourth Friday of the month from 9.30am - 12.30pm and new friends are most welcome.
