The Southern Highlands Orienteering Club will be holding its second event of the Highland Forest Series in Welby on Sunday, May 26 to celebrate World Orienteering Week.
The series encourages a transition from the street or park style of orienteering to the bush and on this occasion, participants will navigate using the Mount Alexandra map.
They are asked to to meet at the northern end of Meranie St, adjacent to Welby General Cemetery at 10.30am where they will collect their map and control descriptions.

Participants can choose to do the easy, moderate, short hard or long hard course.
The easy course is 2.2km long, is suitable for beginners, done mostly on tracks, and involves a 55m climb, while the moderate course is 2.6km long and involves a 65m climb.
The short hard course is 3km long and involves a 65m climb while the long hard course is 4.6km and involves a 125m climb.
Club member Louise Brooks said the purpose of the day of the day was to build the sport in the region.
"By holding the event, we are hoping to entice newcomers to orienteering," she said.
"We also want to attract those who have only done street style orienteering to give the a different experience."
Formed in 1986, the club promotes orienteering in the Macarthur and Liverpool area of Sydney as well as the Southern Highlands.
The courses range from easy, which involves following paths and fences, to hard requiring detailed compass and cross -country navigation.
For orienteering club members, the cost of the event is $12, $10 for juniors and a maximum of $34 per family.
For non-members, prices are $16 for adults, $14 for juniors and a maximum of $46 per family.
