Organiser Brendon Vimpaniis is a member of the Diggers Military Motorcycle Club.
The club is a non-profit organization made up of serving and ex-serving members of the Australian Defence Force.
The club wants to raise awareness of the mental health issues combat veterans struggle with when they attempt to fit back into main stream society and within their own families.
They have partnered with Eyes Front and Redsix to raise money for mental health awareness.
"It's okay to not be okay," Mr Vimpaniis said.
"Many of the boys have come on hard times.
"We are all encouraged to stick by our mates and make sure they are okay but mental health is still very taboo."
Brendon's aim is to raise mental health awareness among people who have done service or are currently serving.
"I want to help servicemen who are homeless or struggling to transition into civilian life," he said.
Mr Vimpaniis said when you are a soldier you don't learn how to live a normal life "food, housing and bills are looked after by the army".
On July 13 the motorcycle convoy will leave Penrith at approximately 10am.
They will arrive in Mittagong at around 1pm and finish the ride at their club house in Robertson.
