It wasn't easy, but they continued their unbeaten start to the Waratah League season with an impressive 76-69 win over the Macarthur Heat at the Moss Vale Basketball Stadium on Saturday, April 2.

Coming off a one-point win against the Orange Eagles last week, the Magic looked tough to beat again in the round two contest and coach John Hargreaves was very pleased with the performance.
"It's always good to get wins," Hargreaves said.
"I think the most pleasing thing was that this was the first time we saw Macarthur.
"We were much better in the second half than the first."
"You would hope that the next time we play them, we can take the momentum we have forward."
Hargreaves said he had a strong focus on defence because good things happen when his side gets that aspect of the game right.
"We try to keep teams to 15 points a quarter and we succeeded, so that was a huge win for us," he said.
"Everything for us comes from being able to contest shots, play defence and be organised offensively.
"It's not an over complicated plan, so if we can get those things right, we feel like we play well regardless of the result."
Although the players are impressing Hargreaves, there are still moments where the Chevalier College PE teacher gets frustrated.
"They're learning and getting better each game, but sometimes, they need a little push," he said.
Next up for the Magic will be the Sutherland Sharks at the same venue on Saturday, April 9, a match Hargreaves said would be a tough contest.
That will be their final home game until round eight on May 21 where they take on the Goulburn Bears.
