Evolution and Inspiration exhibition
August 3 to September 3, Milk Factory Gallery, 10am to 4pm
Elizabeth Burton works with acrylic paints, inks and collage materials to create different surfaces and textures in the artwork. She takes her inspiration from the natural world and Australian landscape from realism to abstraction. This exhibition will feature new works inspired by Ms Burton's recent trip to Italy.
Colo Vale Markets
August 3, 28 Railway Avenue, 8:30am to 1:30pm
The Colo Vale markets will have a USA theme this month. Delicious hamburgers, hotdogs, apple pies, chocolate brownies and more will be on offer. A raffle will be held with the opoortunity to take home a meat tray.
Groove away the Blues
August 3, Mittagong RSL Club, from 7pm
The Groove Away The Blues event for mental health and suicide prevention, in support of the Black Dog Institute, will be held on Saturday. The night will be a formal cabaret style show with a three-course dinner and live performances. Comedian Cameron James will have attendees laughing and the band Velvet Grove will have people ready to dance.
Belle Property Bowral Prize
August 3 - 11, Bowral Art Gallery, 10am to 4pm
The 2019 Belle Property Bowral Prize and art exhibition will officially open over the weekend. In 2018 Belle Property Bowral donated close to $1600 from the sale of the winning painting to charity Rural Aid "Buy a Bale". The donation enabled 10 bales of hay, a tanker of water and five hampers to be distributed to drought stricken farmers in the central west of New South Wales. Belle Property will donate all proceeds from the sale of the winning painting to the charity. The exhibiton is sure to impress.
Bundanoon Makers Market
August 4, Soldiers Memorial Hall Bundanoon, 8:30am - 2pm
A market for people whomlove quality crafts and food. Sowers, knitters, woodworkers, photographers, leatherworkers and jewellerers from the region will sell thier wares. A selection of fruit and vegetables, freshly baked bread, Lebanese take home meals, hot Indian dishes, Japanese pancakes, honey, eggs plus a delicious assortment of cakes, pies and biscuits will be on offer.
