Bowral Uniting Church will host a Christmas lunch at 12.30pm on Wednesday, December 19.
Minister Michael Earl said the barbecue lunch, which has run for the past five years, would provide both lunch and company to people.
“It’s a way of expressing the love of God and to say Christmas is about being together and showing people they’re not alone,” Mr Earl said.
“It’s really about reaching out to each other and saying this is the community we want to live in.”
Minister Earl said the celebration was open to both members of the church and the community.
”There’s a range of people who are in need struggling in different ways and they want some company, the food is a byproduct,” he said.
“People from the church and the wider community come and help, it’s a real cross section.”
The church will also host an all-ages Christmas Day service from 9am, and an all ages carols event and service at 9am on Sunday, December 23.

Co-organiser Jade Barr said organisers wanted people to know they were valued and loved.
“We like it to be like a huge family Christmas dinner. For anyone struggling financially or alone, come along,” she said.
“You could be the wealthiest person but if you’re alone, we want you there.”
Organisers have extended the RSVP date until Friday, December 21.
