The sale of gorgeous donated items created a fun experience and more than exceeded expectations, contributing $10,107.46 to the White Ribbon campaign.
Having originated in Canada by a group of young men, White Ribbon is now a global organisation formed to prevent violence and abuse against women.
This is accomplished by education and advocacy in schools, workplaces and communities.
The Southern Highlands committee was pleased to welcome Skye Leckie to draw several raffles this year. Having participated in the SBS show Filthy Rich and Homeless, Skye has seen at close quarters the impacts of abuse and homelessness.
The committee is looking forward to another bumper fundraiser in 2019 and would like to gratefully acknowledge all the individuals and businesses who contributed to such a successful outcome.
Donations of designer label garments in excellent condition are welcome after February 2019.
