As the weather is getting warmer, you can head to a market, make your way to a local gallery, or discover more than 20 gardens in Sutton Forest.

Tulip Time
A blooming wonderland
See thousands of tulips and annuals in bloom during the region's iconic floral festival. Expect live entertainment, stalls and the chance to see the flowers at night at Tulips After Dark. See it all from Tuesday, September 19 daily from 9.30am to 4.30pm at the Corbett Gardens. It is free for residents and they do not have to book. Tickets for visitors are $13 for adults, $11 for 13 to 17-year-olds, $10 for concession and $8 in groups of 20 or more people. Tulips After Dark tickets are $13 for adults and $10 for concession. All tickets can be purchased via Ticketmaster.
Celebrating Clay in the Garden
A unique way to mark Tulip Time
A group of Highlands ceramic artists will be celebratoing Tulip Time through a floral exhibition in the Bowral Art Gallery Garden. See it daily from 10am to 4pm from Tuesday, September 19 to Monday, October 2.
Highlands Sinfonia Concert for Challenge Southern Highlands
Music to one's ears
Classical music lovers, or those who appreciate the sounds of instruments, are invited to a concert that is helping people with disabilities gain more independence.The St Jude's Music Association will host a Highlands Sinfonia Concert to raise funds for Challenge Southern Highlands. See it on Wednesday, September 20 at St Jude's Church at 10.30am. Tickets are $20 each at the door and there is parking onsite.
Red Cow Farm Open Garden
Lots to discover
Explore 20 gardens on 2.5 hectares of land this spring full of unique plants, lakes and flowers. The Red Cow Farm is open daily from 10am to 4pm from Friday, September 22. Adults can enter for $15, seniors for $10 and $5 for children aged four to 14, via cash or card. There are no public toilets on site, and no picnics and animals are allowed. There is parking in the adjacent laneway.

Clothing with memories
Award-winning Australian artist Gwenda McDougall presents her exhibition of oil paintings, which focus on appreciating the beautiful in the everyday, especially in pieces of clothing that hold many memories. See the exhibition from Friday, September 22 at the Ferris Wheel Gallery daily from 10am to 4pm.
Southern Highlands Orchid Society Annual Orchid Show
Orchid excellence
The Southern Highlands Ocrhid Society is holding its annual orchid and plant show once again. See floral displays, purchase plants and learn more on how to cultivate orchids. See it all on Saturday, September 23 at the Mittagong RSL from 9am to 2pm. Entry is with a gold coin donation.

Take a stroll
Wander through the picturesque gardens while you explore a market full of products made in the Highlands. Enjoy it all at Peppers Manor House on Saturday, September 23, from 9am to 1pm.
Ferret Races and Fun Day
An eventful day
There will be ferret races, live music, barefoot bowls, games, prizes and a raffle. All funds raised will be dedicated to the Illawarra Convoy. Enjoy it al on Saturday, September 23 at the Robertson Bowling Club from 12pm.

Movie screening: 10 Canoes
This weekend
This award-winning film is set in the Northern Territory and is a story within a story. A man tells the story of Minygululu, who has three wives and realises that his younger brother Dayindi may try to steal the youngest spouse. Minygululu tell his brother of an ancestral story where a man tried to disrupt a man, his three wives and his brother. The traditional artefacts in the movie were made by Indigenous people. Watch it at CTC Robertson on Sunday, September 24 from 2pm. It is $10 through Trybooking or at the door. Those wishing to pay on the day should reserve a free spot online first. The cafe opens from 1.30pm.
Mittagong Junior Disco
Coming up
Kids up to the age of 14 can strap dance with their friends. Gift vouchers can also be won. They can enjoy it on Saturday, September 30 from 4pm to 6pm, at the Mittagong RSL. Entry is $5 dollars per child, with funds going back to children in the community. Call 0412 321 555 for more information. It is a cash only and no-alcohol event.
