When Midy Tiaga made his way to the Robertson Hotel for Channel 10's show The Traitors, he made sure he was as prepared as possible.

The strategy consultant from NSW, who is a lover of escape rooms, researched the show's Dutch origins, and read a novel on hostage negotiations in the lead-up.
Perhaps it was his readiness and ability to pinpoint Angus and Marielle as traitors early on, that led to his "murder" on October 23.
"My strategy was to be transparent," the faithful said.
"It was such a complex game."
Although his time was abruptly ended by the traitors, Mr Tiaga enjoyed the experience in Robertson.

"It felt like I was in a murder mystery mansion", he said.
"Robertson being the lovely town that it is, I think it fitted the show perfectly.
"We rocked up in this lovely, vintage car and walked into the heritage building, I was instantly transported into this time period."
During his time on our screens, the faithful was "vocal" about his strategies and theories, and said the unique challenges were a "highlight".
Although he was "keen to settle back into daily life" and saw loved ones after his departure, the "curiosity" about the outcome was "killing" him.
Watching the show back, he believes people who have gone under the radar such as Craig, and Paul, have the potential to take out the competition.
When it came to the hardest part of the game, it was convincing the group to vote as a united front for a potential traitor.
"You have to campaign and convince them," he said.
"It took me three episodes of campaigning to get tie vote for Angus, and I did not think that was going to happen."
