Peter Cornwell and Richard Denman defeated Terry Norwood and Brian Porter 21-13. Cornwell and Denman received a two-shot start and were always in control to run out eight-shot winners.

Terry Butt and Kevin Stafford defeated Glen Giese and Gordon Lewis 28-23.Giese and Lewis received a seven-shot start and after 19 ends had a 23-19 lead but then Butt and Stafford picked up five shots on the 20th end to lead 24-23, then on the last end scored four shots to storm home for a strong win.
Mick Flynn and Peter Morales defeated Bob Crowley and Ashley Lewis 31-23. Flynn and Morales received a 16-shot start. After 19 ends Flynn and Morales had a 26-23 lead and won the last two ends to run out eight-shot winners.
Ashley Lewis the club champion returned to bowls in this match and his rest from bowls showed in this match as he put in a very rusty performance and showed that you need to play regular to keep your game sharp.
Ted McPhee and Eric Willacy defeated Owen Williams and Don Chapman 29-18. Williams and Chapman received a three-shot start. After 11 ends, Williams and Chapman held a 13-7 lead.
McPhee and Willacy then took control in the second half of the match to come away 11-shot winners. The semi-finals will be played this Saturday.
