The Lions made a fast start at Mittagong Sports Ground with two tries in the opening 20 minutes courtesy of Byron Pinkerton and James Greham.
The home side added another from Brendan Bayliss to lead 16-4 at the break before the Rams ran in four second half tries to emerge four-point victors.
Former NRL star Bryson Goodwin was again a strong performer for the home side, scoring one try in the second half and kicking two goals.
With seven games played Mittagong sit eighth on the ladder and will travel to face East Campbelltown Eagles on Sunday.
