A top of 26.6°C was recorded at the Moss Vale Weather Station on New Year's Day without any rain.
The station predicted that temperatures could reach up to 30°C today (January 2).
The last temperature recorded over 30 degrees by the station was on December 18 with 32.3°C.
Twenty-seven degrees celsius has been predicted for January 3 and 23°C on January 4 and 5.

A top of 22°C is due to hit the Highlands on January 6, with a follow-up of 24°C on January 7 and 29°C on the Saturday (January 8).
Showers of up to two millimetres have been estimated for January 4 and between four and 10 millimetres for the following day (January 5).
There is an 80 per cent of five to 10 millimetres of rain dropping on January 6 and between three to eight millimetres on January 7.
Up to 10 milimetres of rain has been predicted for Saturday, January 8.
