"It made the six hours," Gilroy said.
"I think we were all surprised at how well Brianna and I managed each stint, mindful of the demanding track. Thankfully the RaceAway Track Time team built a great car, and the end result was true to that."
Co-driver Wilson showed no remorse to her fellow competitors as she conquered the race in her second appearance in the event.
"It was good to bring the car home after the whole weekend of racing. We had niggling issues throughout but managed to bring the car home in one piece which was awesome," Wilson said.
Wilson also secured the title of the first female to get a first-place finish at a Bathurst 6-hour event.
Ahead of the more favoured and more experienced racers, the pair showed professional level consistency on the iconic 6.2-kilometre track totalling 113 laps, which gave them an incredible four-lap advantage over the closest competitor.
A spectacular result for the duo showcasing a once in a lifetime experience at Mount Panorama.
Throughout the demanding weekend, car #35 was supported by both the RaceAway Track Time team and the Road to Bathurst crew (based in Southern Highlands) helping get the car across the finish line.
Head driver coach Phil Alexander, from the Road to Bathurst Program said: "It was an incredible experience for these two youngsters who are just starting out in their careers. We are all eager and excited to see where these two will go as they continue to grow and progress out on the track."
