Glen Preece, Sumit Ameria, Martial Cosyn - Art exhibition
- April 24 - May 4, Bowral Art Gallery, 10 am - 4 pm
This is a combined exhibition of the works of Glen Preece, Martial Cosyn and Sumit Ameria.
Sumit Ameria is a fine and recognised botanical artist. His work is very Australian and very precise, varying from pen and ink, to gouache and watercolour.
Glen Preece is excited to be exhibiting again Bowral and be showing with two 'like-minded' artists. He will be showing landscapes and figurative works painted since moving to Tasmania in 2019.
Martial Cosyn was a student of Glen's whilst he was living in the Highlands. He paints in oil and the subject tends to be very whimsical.
History at The Old Goods Shed Bundanoon
- Sunday April 18, 2021, The Old Goods Shed, Railway Avenue, Bundanoon 10 am - 2 pm
History buffs will be in for a treat. Learn about the history of Bundanoon on the first and third Sunday of the month. See a display of Bundanoon's history and view a searchable picture library of old Bundanoon photos, purchase books and merchandise concerning Bundanoon.

Parent Child Pamper Pack Workshop

Share a unique making experience with your child that is fun and interactive and go home with a beautiful pamper pack.
Lana Jones is a master candle maker using soy wax and essential oils. She hand-pours each candle and has worked out the best formula to create beautiful candles at home. Her extensive knowledge has extended into beauty products with her range including lip balms and hand creams.
Workshop includes:

Biogenesis art exhibition
- April 11 - May 23, Sturt Gallery and Studios Mittagong, 11 am - 10 pm
Mothers and daughters explore shared creativity in a new exhibition at Sturt. Visit the beautiful exhibition which celebrates the joyful creativity of these inspired mothers and daughters.
Nettie Sumner creates wire and ceramic sculptures and her daughter Mercy Sumner echoes assemblages with porcelain and hand crocheted wire.
Dimity Kidston's collection of tapestries in vintage containers are inspired by objects she'd admire at her grandmother's house as a child.
Dimity's mother Libby Hobbs' woven dolls with porcelain faces combine her lifelong love of fabrics and ceramics both of which have been passed on to her daughter Dimity.
Southern Highlands Autumn Gardens Weekend and Plant Fair
- Saturday April 17, 2021 - April 18, Southern Highlands Botanic Gardens, Bowral, 9 am - 4 pm
One of the more stunning attractions of the Southern Highlands is set to be showcased.
The annual Autumn Gardens weekend and Plant Fair will be underway this weekend.
It is one of the major fundraisers for the Southern Highlands Botanic Gardens showcasing several spectacular gardens across the Wingecarribee Shire in all their autumn glory.
The featured gardens include The Copes Garden and Bibury at Burradoo, Greenbrier Garden in Bowral, Sutton Tops at Sutton Forest and the Morton Views at Bundanoon.
The Plant Fair will run from 9am to 4pm on both days and entry costs $10 to the fair only or an individual garden entry, or $35 for entry to the fair and all five open gardens. Groups of 10 or more are eligible for a discounted fee of $8 or $32 respectively. School children are free.
Tickets can be booked online at SHBG.com.au and at individual gardens and the plant fair.
