There was a dawn service at a neighbour's home, prior to the 9am service at the Vickers Memorial Park.
The service was led by Shane Norberry, and more than 40 people attended.
Resident Maryann Anderson said it was a "lovely service".
It was followed by a breakfast of bacon and egg rolls and Anzac biscuits.
