Works will include reconstruction of the existing road pavement including kerb and gutter renewal works and the construction of a reinforced concrete roundabout.
Construction works will be completed in two phases to minimise disruption:
- Phase one - Trachyte stone kerb and gutter renewal
- Phase two - Reinforced concrete roundabout, pathway construction and road pavement reconstruction.
Phase one works are scheduled to commence on March 18 and are expected to finish later that month.
Phase two roundabout construction and road works are expected to be carried out during the Easter School Holiday period.
Construction activities will be carried out between 7 am and 6 pm weekdays.
During construction, sections of the road may be temporarily reduced to one-way traffic. The road will remain open to through traffic with property access being maintained.
Road users are cautioned to follow the changed traffic conditions, including changes to drop off locations for school children, exercise care when travelling through the work zones and be aware of loose stones and heavy machinery within the work areas.
Council thanks residents and motorists in advance for their cooperation and apologises for any temporary delays or inconvenience.
Works are expected to be completed by mid-April 2021. All timeframes are subject to weather conditions.
