Christmas dinner at Mittagong RSL
Enjoy as much as you like of the three course Christmas Classics Feast at Mittagong RSL on December 9 from 6-9pm. It will cost $40 for adults and $2 for children 12 years and under.

Celebrating Clay Christmas exhibition
The Bowral Art Gallery will hold a special exhibition before Christmas. See what its creative group has been up to during Covid-19 lockdown. An exciting range of unique ceramics will be on display. It will be a great opportunity to buy handmade Christmas gifts and enjoy looking at the beautiful creative works. The exhibition will run through to December 15 from 10am to 4pm daily.
Mamma Mia
This much-loved musical will open in the Highlands on December 10. Presented by The Furey Theatre Company, it will run until December 20, with both evening and matinee performances at Clubbe Hall, Frensham.

Farmer's market
The On the Grow Railway Street Farmers Market continues to provide a place to source healthy, fresh food. Located on the corner of Railway Avenue and Spring Street in Moss Vale, the markets are open from 3pm every Thursday afternoon.
Christmas at the Pub
Enjoy some early Christmas festivities at the Robertson Public House and Kitchen on December 11. From 6pm there will be a sausage sizzle, face painting and a visit from Santa for the kids.
The lighting of the Christmas tree will also take place and from 7pm there will be entertainment from Emma Jene and Dylan Norris. Bookings essential - call 4885 1202.
Community pantry
The St Stephen's Anglican Church in Mittagong's popular morning tea has returned. Held on a Friday morning, this is supported with donations of cakes and pastries from Gumnut Patisserie, Bakers' Delight and the Chelsea Bakery in Mittagong. The morning tea is held each Friday from 10am until midday.
Christmas market
Bowral Uniting Church will hold a Christmas Market on December 12. For anyone looking for Christmas gift ideas, there will be a range of stalls including books and DVDs, plants, craft, barbecue and home-baked goods. There will also be specialty items such as Christmas cakes, White Christmas and gift wrapped cookies and sweets. The market will run from 8am-2pm at Bowral Uniting Church.
Bowral Markets
The Bowral Public School markets will once again be held on December 12 from 8am-1pm. There will be a range of stalls including clothing, jewellery and leather as well as food and garden stalls and hot food and coffee.
Christmas dinner
Briars Country Lodge will host a Christmas dinner on December 12 from 6pm. There will be a three course Australian styled meal with live entertainment and music. Lucky door prizes will be up for grabs. The cost will be $60 per adult, $25 per child (under 12 years) and $35 per teenager (13-17 years). The monthly meetings continue to be postponed. Coffee and chat (under social distancing and sanitising rules) are on Saturday mornings 9.30am-10.30am at Bradman Museum (order at the cafe but seating is in the museum). For further information contact Mrs Dympna Irwin 4869 5252.
Robertson Markets
The next Robertson markets will be held on December 13. It will be held at the Robertson School of Arts on Hoddle Street from 9am to 2pm. Refreshments available.
Makers' Markets
The Southern Highlands Artisans Collective (SHAC) will hold its summer/Christmas markets on Sunday, December 13. from 9am-4pm, coinciding with the Robertson Markets. There will be makers doing demonstrations and selling hand made products.
Christmas summer luncheon
Enjoy the festive season with a traditional Christmas feast at The Loch to start the festive season on Sunday, December 13. Chef and owner Brigid Kennedy will provide beautiful Christmas dishes. Sunday Sessions Jazz
In their last gig for 2020, Sunday Sessions Jazz presents vocalist and trombonist, Dan Barnet. The band will be playing from 2-5pm at Gibraltar Hotel. The $30 ticket price will be for event entry only. There will be table seating, with a maximum of eight people per table due to COVID-19. Marionette performance
ImaginArta - the Australian Puppet Centre presents a gorgeous family puppet every Sunday at 11am at the Sutton Forest Hall. Ticket prices are $15 adults, $11 Children and only $10.50 per ticket for groups of four or more. As an added bonus to visitors coming to shows on December 13 and 20, they will offer a free puppet making workshop after each performance for all ticket holders where they will get the opportunity to make theur own Christmas Angel creation. Bushwalking
With some indoor activities still limited, now's a great time to get outdoors and enjoy some of the spectacular scenery the region has to offer. Southern Highlands Bushwalkers are still offering a range of walks. The next walk will be Sunday December, 27 to Thursday, December 31 - The Green Gully Track. A challenging multi-day hike in remote wilderness area, five nights and four days. No need to carry a tent. Stay in one of five heritage style, well-equipped huts.
