Sergeant Bianca Williams started at The Hume PD as constable of police in July 2003. She worked at Bowral Police Station before transferring to the Goulburn Police Station.
The dedicated police officer soon became a Leading Senior Constable. She trained several probationary constables in her role as a field training officer. She was also heavily involved in police and community engagement, fundraising for charities and worked with support agencies to improve the outcomes for those in need, including Mission Australia.
Mission Australia acting regional leader Daniel Strickland said he truly valued the support that Sergeant Williams provided the Mission Australia team and clients.
"She has a heart of gold and was always keen to see how we could work together to assist some of our most vulnerable community members," he said.
"We also value and commend the countless community fundraising initiatives that she was part of including shaving her head for cancer research, police legacy initiatives and many others.
"Bianca is a true credit to the NSW Police and will play an integral part in the education of future cops."
As part of her new position Williams was promoted to the rank of Sergeant and going forward will be part of the NSW Police Force Academy. Sergeant Williams left her duties at Goulburn on November 8. A small ceremony was held on November 6 to farewell the hard-working officer. She was presented with a plaque by Superintendent Paul Condon and flowers by officers attached to the Goulburn Police Station.
Officer-in-charge at Goulburn Police Station Inspector Matt Hinton said the team was proud of Bianca achieving the rank of Sergeant, which is an important rank in the NSW Police Force.
"Bianca will be a loss to our district, but will be an asset for the development of future police officers across NSW," he said.
