A man from Woollahra has had his license suspended for six months after being caught driving 172 kilometres an hour in a 110 kilometre speed zone in Mittagong.

Officers attached to the Hume Traffic and Highway Patrol stopped a Porsche Cayenne on the Hume Highway, at about 9am on April 26.
The 31-year-old man was also issued an infringement notice for exceeding the speed limit by more than 45 kilometres.
Five people were killed on NSW roads during the Anzac Day long weekend, compared to four in the same period in 2023.
"Five lives lost is five lives too many," Minister for Police and Counter-terrorism Yasmin Catley said.
"That's five people not going home to their families.
"Police will continue to target speeding, distracted driving, and alcohol and drug use to make sure everyone can get to their destinations safely."
The traffic operation went from 12.01am on April 24 to 11.59pm on April 28, and double demerits were in place for speeding, mobile phone, seatbelt, and motorcycle helmet offences.
"During what has been a busy period on our roads with school holidays and the ANZAC long weekend, unfortunately police are still seeing risky driving behaviour," Traffic and Highway Patrol Commander and Assistant Commissioner Brett McFadden said.
A total of 4197 speed infringement issues were issued across NSW and 165,604 breath tests were conducted, with 256 people charged with drink-driving.
With roadside drug tests, 12,371 were conducted, with 637 positive results.
There were 148 people injured in 410 major crashes statewide.
For the southern region, which covers the Hume, Wollonong, Lake Illawarra, Murray River, Murrumbidgee, Riverina and South Coast police districts, one life was lost.
There were 57 major crashes, 1020 speed infringements issued, 33,229 breath tests conducted, 141 positive drug-driving tests and 49 drink driving charges.
