McPhee and Gould win in it in a really tight finish by one shot.
Wednesday, August 26 at Bowral Bowling Club saw last week players in freezing conditions, this week to have a glorious winters afternoon and the greens packed with players.
Ted McPhee and Kevin Gould defeated Chris Forrester and Mick Flynn 19-18 in the match of the day.
Forrester and Flynn rose to the occasion and shot to a 11-4 lead after 11 ends.
They looked a well organised team playing all the shots in the book and extending their lead to 15-4 after 12 ends.
The match then took a turn with McPhee and Gould won the next four ends, but still trailed 15-10.
Compared to the first half of the match McPhee and Gould were starting to click.
On the 20th end, Forrester and Flynn had taken a 18-15 lead.
With one end to play, McPhee and Gould looked home and hosed.
But, the last end changed the game massively, now with the game slipping away McPhee and Gould rose to another level and with great team work picked up four shots to win the game by one shot 19-18 setting up a classic win.
