The collision has left one person possibly trapped.
The call was made to emergency services after 1pm on Saturday, August 22.
Transport for NSW, Sarah Dawson said the person trapped is not confirmed just yet.
"There is a possible person trapped in a two car accident," Ms Dawson said.
"The ambulances are on their way and traffic control will be on the scene to monitor and direct traffic.
Traffic is being affected both directions.
"We're waiting on a sight rep to get to the scene and details will be confirmed," Ms Dawson said.
Ambulance media have confirmed three people were affected by the crash. Two have declined medical assistance and one is being treated for a hand injury.
"The patients have been assessed and it was a two car accident," Ambulance media said.
"The call came in just before 1:15pm."

Transport NSW have confirmed that the crash has been cleared and traffic is returning to normal.
