This comes after her dogs were poisoned by an unknown person at her home earlier this month.
Susan Andrade's daughter Molly arrived home from work one morning to find that the family's four dogs were poisoned, were laying flat on the ground and had vomitted blood.
Veterinary medical attention was sought immediately, which prevented any loss of life to any of the dogs.
However nine-year-old border collie Billy came close to not surviving the incident.
Mrs Andrade said the matter was reported to the Southern Highlands Police and the Wingecarribee Shire Council's animal ranger.
"I am extremely concerned, as these dogs are extremely well-behaved and well cared for," she said.
"Our property is fully fenced and never experienced an incident prior to this.
"The property is secure, with gates locked whenever we are not here."
Mrs Andrade said the incident left her concerned, as there were a lot of the dogs in the area.
"I am terrified of the prospect of this happening again, not just to ourselves but the hundreds of dog owners that surround us and utilise the nearby bike track, on a regular basis.
"I am desperate to raise awareness in the community, as I feel having four dogs targeted on the one property is a bold and callous act of cruelty."
Since the incident, Mrs Andrade has raised awareness of the issue throughout the community for her family's "dear four-legged friends that give us so much".
"It is vital to me that awareness be heighten, to the highest degree, so that we can repay to them all the love and care, that they give to us," she said.
"If I could give one message to the community, it would be remain constantly vigilant and aware.
"Take nothing and no one for granted and please above all, immediately report any incidents of this nature that occur."
