The event, which is only in its third year, was deemed a success as local community figures stepped up to the stage to raise money for prevention programs in the Southern Highlands.
Money raised from the event will go towards the Southern Highlands General and Practical Support Service (GAPS) which helps local people affected by cancer by providing transport to treatment and other appointments either locally or in Sydney.
Last year's success meant that the Cancer Council was able to purchase a vehicle for GAPS which enabled the program to expand and meant that volunteers didn't always have to use their own vehicle.
This year the money will go towards the ongoing running costs of the vehicle and GAPS services.
The winner of Stars of the Highlands: Dance for Cancer was Sam Tait and his dance partner Emily.
