For more than 30 years, Redkite has provided essential support to thousands of young Australians.
Errin and Mackenzie are no exception.
After Mackenzie’s diagnosis with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukaemia, the Isedale family fell under intense stress.
Strain from the situation had a heavy effect on the family: physically, mentally and emotionally.
That’s when Redkite stepped in.
Tensions were alleviated when Redkite aided the Isedale family with financial relief. Some family bills, car registration and petrol costs were covered.
Ms Isedale said the support didn’t end after Mackenzie left hospital.
“She is now in remission but missed so much school, and Redkite is funding math tutoring, so she can start high school with confidence," she said.
Major corporate support from Coles over the past 5 years has generated a $30 million financial milestone.
The $30 million raised by Coles has enabled Redkite to support young people and families more than 145,000 times over the past five years.
Coles managing director John Durkan said that Coles was delighted to help Redkite support Australian families when they need it most.
Durkan said Coles team members and customers have helped eased the pain of cancer diagnosis in many Australian families, including families in Welby, when faced with the shocking news that their child has cancer.
Redkite CEO, Monique Keighery said the organisation relied on many people to enable it to deliver services.
“[This includes] financial assistance, counseling and educational support to the thousands of young Australians and their families facing the devastation of a cancer diagnosis.”
The support from the Southern Highlands area, in just over the last year has allowed Redkite to support six locals.

To ensure the 1750 children and young people being diagnosed with cancer each year continue to get the much needed support they need, continued support and fundraising for Redkite is essential.
