All of the southbound lanes were closed due to the fire near Greenhills Road.

All of the southbound lanes of the Hume Motorway are closed at Berrima, due to a truck fire near Greenhills Road.

One northbound lane on the motorway is also closed at the site.

Motorists are advised to avoid the area.

Multiple NSW Rural and Fire Service and Fire and Rescue NSW vehicles are at the scene.

Those in light vehicles can consider travelling via Mittagong, Bowral, Moss Vale and Sutton Forest using the Old Hume Highway from Bowral Road, Moss Vale Road and the Illawarra Highway.

Motorists are advised to allow additional travel time, and follow the directions of emergency services and traffic crews.
