Artist Desmond Freeman showcases different parts of the Highlands in this exhibition. The works focus on the region's built environment through the use of pen and ink. See it from Thursday, August 3 at Retford Park's White Cottage. It is a free exhibition.
Cat Doyle: Bibliophilia
A literary world
Cat Doyle explores the world of literature through a range of portraits of 20th century figures. See it all from Friday, August 4, with an opening on Saturday, August 5 at 3pm. The gallery is open every Friday to Sunday from 10am to 4pm.
Documentary screening: Rachel's Farm
A documentary full of hope
Actor-director Rachel Ward is determined to regenerate her northern NSW beef farm in this uplifting documentary. Watch it at the Empire Cinema on Friday, August 4 at 6.30pm. The Southern Highlands Concert Band brings vocalist Keva Abotomey to the stage, with students from the bandemonium school program.
