The store, which was established in 1995, celebrated the upgrades to improve shoppers' experiences on July 27.
Upgrades over the last two years have included changing the deli cases to make colder products fresher, increasing freezers, the warming of the store temperature, fridge doors and face lifts.
The changes have meant the IGA has reduced its energy usage by 35 per cent.
Owner Ben Graham said it was the opportunity to "celebrate" the changes.
"We get a lot of positive feedback from customers on how much they love to shop here," he said.
"We want to make it a better for our customers to shop in."
As people moved around the store, they had the opportunity to speak to local producers and growers, and enjoy product samples.
"Customers have told us that they are keen to support local industry, so we buy from suppliers in our own backyard wherever possible," Mr Graham said.
Peter Simpson from Simpson Family Marulan had a line-up of honeys fresh from the hive for people to sample.
The hobby beekeeper has stocked the honey at the store for about a month and said it was going great.
Those with a love for homemade jams, sauces and marmalades got to sample those produced by Calcutta Park.
"It's great to have the support of local stories and outlets and it works both ways - we support them, and they support us," owner Nicki Penn said.
Renegade Spirits has been showcasing its selection of gins and spirits at the IGA for about a year-and-a-half, which people got to sample as they shopped.
"It's a great family business to be affiliated with," said owner Tim Roberts.
Business has been "consistent" for Taluca Park owners Frank and Anne-Marie Vigilante when it came to their free-range eggs.
"It's very good, it's great to support local," Mr Vigilante said.
Free coffee was also served on the day, and attendees had the chance to purchase a sausage sizzle from the Moss Vale Lions Club.
The club was raising funds for a student to complete the Kokoda Trail.
IGA Moss Vale will match their funds to support Emily Hunt's goal to raise $10,000 for the Starlight Foundation.
People can help Emily reach her goal by donating in-store up until the end of August.
