"This marks the beginning of an important discussion around The Voice to Parliament and what it means for our community," Mr Jones said ahead of the forum on Thursday.
"I am pleased to be joined by former Liberal Opposition Leader, Dr John Hewson who will no doubt have some fascinating insights to share."

Key questions posed at the event included: how The Voice would provide better outcomes for Indigenous and Torres Strait Islander people? And what tangible things The Voice would be able to do.
That the closing the gap target has not been met was also discussed, and how The Voice would be able to help with issues faced by Indigenous people in Australia, according to the spokesperson.
About 20 questions were posed during the Q and A session of the forum, which prompted a respectful debate.
Organisers said a broad reflection of the community was represented via different questions and perspectives.
