This was a message from the Robertson Public School students as they shared stories of those from Robertson who had served in World War I.
The students had been tasked with learning more about those who served in war time and decided that the best starting point was to research the people whose names were listed on the Robertson memorial.
They shared a brief history of some of those during a presentation at the Robertson Anzac Day service.

They shared stories of young men who worked in the community - bank clerks, farmers and similar.
They enlisted in the war effort to serve their country. Some as young as 17. It was lovely to hear of those who returned to Australian shores and to their homes in Robertson.
Sadly this was not the case for all.
About 200 people gathered at the Robertson war memorial at the School of Arts to pay tribute to all who had served in war time.
Officiating the service was minister Reverend Tony Galea who spoke of the sacrifices made so that we could live with hope for today and the future.
Meanwhile, Lance Corporal Rueben Griggs delivered the Ode to the silent crowd.
Lance Corporal Griggs did two tours of Afghanistan over 20 years.
He was joined during the day by his family and his Explosive Protection Dog Bundy.
