Wollondilly MP Nathaniel Smith says an $8 million funding boost will support more people at risk of homelessness into stable long-term accommodation.

He said the boost was part of a $177.8 million Together Home program to provide leasing and support packages for those at risk of homelessness.

"Together Home is a great example of the NSW Government working with community organisations to achieve real results," Mr Smith said.
"This will change the lives of many people in the regions who are struggling with cost of living pressures."
Natasha Maclaren-Jones is minister of families and communities; and disability services. She said the Liberal and Nationals government was committed to ensuring "everyone has a safe and stable place to live".
"Together Home is a key initiative to support the premier's priority to halve street homelessness in NSW by 2025," Mrs Maclaren-Jones said.
"This program will help transition people onto a trajectory away from homelessness and into long-term, stable housing, while improving overall personal wellbeing."
Planning and homes minister Anthony Roberts said this investment would empower people to build a brighter future, and foster connections to community.
"Everyone in NSW should have a roof over their head and receive the wrap-around services they need to thrive," Mr Roberts said.
The Together Home program is delivered by 18 community housing providers located across NSW, who lease properties in the private rental market to people who have been street sleeping."
