The singer-songwriter from Robertson was accepted into The Academy of Country Music (The Academy) in 2021, but it was put on hold during the pandemic.
The course by the Australian Country Music Association, aims to mentor rising artists and musicians.
Despite the delay, she is eager to make her way to Tamworth for it, in January, to embrace its opportunities.
"I'm so excited," she said.
"I feel so much more prepared to do it."
She is one of 28 artists who were selected for the intensive program, along with Moss Vale singer-songwriter Jo Caseley, who she has performed with in the past.
The chance to meet and collaborate with other performers, and connect with people in the industry will be a highlight for Amber.
Throughout The Academy, students will be mentored by industry experts, learn more about aspects of the music business such as promoting, songwriting and recording.
They will also co-wrote with Golden Guitar winners Allan Caswell and Aleyce Simmonds, as well as this year's Toyota Star Maker Max Jackson, ending with a graduation concert in Tamworth.
There is another item on her agenda for The Academy, and going into 2023.
"I think for me next year, is to apply for more festivals," she said.
Amber only picked up a guitar to start composing songs in 2014, and she has gone from strength to strength ever since.
The last 10 months have been spent gigging across NSW - she has performed in Surry Hills, Bondi and across the Highlands, including in one of Highland FM's Home Grown concerts.
The Highland FM Artist of the Month for July this year, is also gearing up to perform in the Corbett Gardens for New Years Eve.
All of this success follows the release of her debut EP Out in the Open this year, and she would love to release another.
"I think at the heart of it, it's people telling their own stories," she said about her passion for songwriting.
"No matter the genre, [we're] all telling fundamentally beautiful, genuine stories."
