Just after 1.00pm on Saturday June 11 2022, emergency services responded to reports of a vehicle crashing into a tree on the Hume Highway, Sutton Forest.
The passenger - a 19-year-old man - died at the scene.
The driver - a 19-year-old man - and another male passenger were taken to Campbelltown Hospital in a stable condition and later released.
A crime scene was established and examined by officers from the Crash Investigation Unit.
Following extensive inquiries, the driver was today (Thursday August 11 2022) charged with dangerous driving occasioning death - drive manner dangerous and negligent driving (occasioning death).
He is due to appear at Moss Vale Local Court on Tuesday October 25 2022.
