The richest postcode in the Highlands has been revealed through recent data from the Australian Taxation Office (ATO).

The government revenue collection agency released statistics on median and average taxable incomes from 2019 to 2020, by postcodes this month.
The postcode 2571, which covers Balmoral, had the highest median taxable income of $55,214.
This was followed by 2575 with $46,619, 2577 with $43,979, $43,256 in 2576, and $42,834 in 2579 in the top five.
The lowest was recorded in 2578 with $36,064.
Postcodes fared differently, however, when it came to average taxable incomes, which is found by dividing incomes by the population.

The top postcode is 2576 with $72,357, with 2571 in second place with $67,665.
Residents in 2575 had an average taxable income of $65,242, with $60,789 in 2577, and $57,230 in 2579.
A total of $54,106 for people in 2578 rounded off the postcodes across the Highlands.
The top 10 postcodes with the highest average taxable income in Australia were 6011 (WA), 2027, 2023, 2030 (all NSW), 3142 (VIC), and 2110, 2025, 2063 and 2028 in NSW.
