An early morning start teeing off at daylight saw the team hold their own on the inward nine winning this event 4.5 to 2.5 for the second time in two years.
This is one of the oldest if not the oldest trophy played between golf clubs on the Highlands and the South Coast, some 86 years in the making. A proud moment in the history of the club.
A Medley Stableford was played on Monday, Adrian Hall an impressive winner in tough conditions with 36 points.
Evelyn Dovey was back to her best on Tuesday in the Womens's Par event winning with a plus five. Wednesday saw visitor Allan Fisher take out A-Grade on 35 points from Jonathan Fords on a countback of 34 points.
Howard McMillan battled the extreme conditions for 35 points to win B-Grade, Keven Fullerton was impressive winning C-Grade on a countback from Jim Driver on 36 points. Robert Booy was the D-Grade winner.
Rounding off the week we played a Medley Par event on Saturday again in trying conditions, Christopher Oakley held on to win A-Grade on square from Christopher White, Paul Wright continued his good form with plus two to take the B-Grade title and Declan Drake won the C-Grade battle from Mike Dovey with a plus one on a countback.
