Executive Listening Tour: Robertson, Kangaloon and Glenquarry
- March 21, Robertson School of Arts, 5.30-6.30pm
Learn about the executives' focuses for the WSC, a bushfire recovery update and meet new executive members at this meeting. General Manager Lisa Miscamble, director of corporate strategy and resourcing Carmel Foster, director of communities Geoff King and Place and Karin Targa Director of service delivery and projects will present information and answer residents' questions. Seating is free, but limited, and only those who register can attend. Residents can register via Eventbrite.
Yerrinbool Railway Garden
Residents are welcome to explore the garden every Monday from 10am to 12pm. The community garden was founded in 2018 by volunteers who want to produce healthy and fresh produce. There is also a mini market on the fourth Saturday of the month.
Bowral Uniting Church Grocery Pantry
The Bowral Uniting Church pantry is open every Tuesday and Wednesday from 10am-1pm. The pantry is located around the side of the church's office. Groceries are free and have been donated by local businesses. COVID practices are in place at the church. A free takeaway lunch is also available every Wednesday.
Bundanoon Man Walk
- Every Wednesday, 7-8am, Soldiers Memorial Hall
This is the opportunity for men to connect with one another and improve their mental health. Attendees should meet at the hall.
JP Service
Two certified Justice of the Peace volunteers are going to witness documents weekly at the following locations:
- Springett's Arcade, Bowral: every Wednesday from 10am to 1pm
- Moss Vale IGA: every Thursday from 10am to 1pm
- Mittagong Market Place: every Saturday from 10am to 1pm

Bowral Autumn Music Festival
- March 24-27, St Jude's Church
Relax and enjoy live performances and workshops from talented artists and musicians in Bowral. The St. Jude's Music Association is hosting a series of eight evening and matinee concerts and recitals. Attendees can purchase tickets at varying prices for adults, concession, student, senior and carer card holders, or for people under 18. A festival pass for all of the performances can also be purchased for $350 for adults or $280 for concession holders.

Railway Street Farmers Market
- Every Thursday, Corners of Railway Street and Spring Street, Moss Vale, 3-6pm
Grab some seasonal produce harvested by local growers this week. Highlanders also have the opportunity to meet the growers at the market. Those interested can call Elissa Thomson on 0450 276 320 for more information.
Scottish dancing
- Every Thursday, Bowral Presbyterian Hall, 10.30-11.30am
Southern Highlands Scottish Country Dancing will make a comeback next month. New dancers welcome. Residents can call Margaret on 0466166866 for more information.
Crop Swap Robertson
- Every Saturday, Robertson CTC, 9-10.30 am
Highlanders can grab fresh and seasonal fruits, vegetables and eggs weekly. A table is set up for people to put their produce, and swap with others. Attendees must adhere to social distancing and wear a mask. Magazines, plants and flowers are also welcome.
Seniors Festival
- March 25 - April 3
There are over 60 events seniors in the Highlands can take part in. From tours in Ngununggula, to art classes or learning how to write a memoir, there is something for everyone. Events are free and accessible unless it is noted otherwise. There will be free pool entry for seniors at the Moss Vale Aquatic Centre during this period. This does not include the gym or fitness classes. A full festival program can be found on the WSC website and event updates will also be added there.
Callout for information: Avoca Public School 150th anniversary
Avoca Public School will be celebrating it's 150th birthday this October. Staff are looking for community members who may have information on the school's history they would like to share. Any stories from past students, teachers and principals or photos would be greatly received. Earth Hour: Sculpture in the Gardens
- March 26, Southern Highlands Botanic Gardens, 5-9pm
Discover a collection of sculptures, listen to live music, see a science show and learn more about sustainability this weekend. The gates open at 5pm and the lights will go out at 7pm. The World Wildlife Fund and WinZero will present the short film Regenerating Australia, which highlights different steps Aussies can take to a more sustainable future at 7.30pm. There will be sustainable stalls at the event, as well as the Sculpture in the Gardens competition. Refreshments will be available and attendees can bring their own picnic. This is a free event and attendees can register through TryBooking prior.
Children can create art out of recycled materials in four workshops on the day at 5.30pm, 6pm, 6.30pm and 7pm. The workshop is $5 per child. Spots can be secured through TryBooking.

Singalong
- March 28, Mittagong Uniting Church, 1.30pm
The singalong in Mittagong is back, with performances from Julie Ann Alcorn and Nerida Barnsley. All are welcome to attend.
Berrima Village Hall Concert
Sit back, relax and listen to a variety of performances from artists and musicians. Ann Carr-Boyd will perform two new suites, where one is about a black poodle named Percy. Hear the cello, piano solos and duets, singers and poetry. You can watch these performances on Sunday, April 10 from 2.30pm at the Berrima Village Hall opposite the Magpie Café. Tickets are $35 each for general admission and $20 for students. They can be secured by calling Lyndall on 0408 839 687 or emailing lyndall1906@bigpond.com.
