Community favourites like the pavilion will also return, along with some new activities involving mullets, and roses which attendees are sure to get a kick out of.
Entertainment in the main arena like the motorcycle Freestyle Kings, Mower Mania, horse events and the woodchopping have been postponed due to the grounds being too wet to proceed.
Chief Pavilion Steward April Love told the Southern Highland News what everyone can expect at the show, and what people can take part in.
Discover all these activities for yourself from March 18 to 20 at the Moss Vale Showground, with discounted entry tickets across the three days.
The Pavilion
Residents of all ages and abilities can enter something in what Ms Love described as a "day gallery of the community".
"It's the heart of the show," she said.
- You can enter a non-perishable item like LEGO, photography, art, crochet, needlework, spinning, knitting, weaving, handcrafts, jams and jellies from March 10 to March 14. The pavilion will be open from 12pm to 5pm each day and entries will be judged on March 15. Those who want to create LEGO must bring their own pieces and can create something in a group or as an individual.
- Perishable items like fresh produce, fermented goods, pot plants, floral art and eggs can be submitted between March 16 from 9am to 6pm, to March 17 from 7am to 8.30am. Entries will be judged on the morning of March 17.
- If you have some cut flowers you want to enter, you must bring them in on Friday, March 18 between 3am and 8.30am.
Schools and students are encouraged to enter something as well. Student entries should have the name and school on the back.
Entry forms can be emailed to mossvaleshowpavilion@outlook.com, and can be found on page 102 of the Pavilion Schedule.
2577 Rose Challenge
If you live in the 2577 postcode, and you have some spectacular roses in your garden, you can enter them in this showcase! Get your roses in between 3am and 8.30am on March 18 to be up for judging.
NSW & ACT Dahlia Society Championships
This is the first time the Moss Vale Show Society is hosting this championship, so local growers are encouraged to bring in their best Dahlias. Flowers must be in on Friday, March 18 between 3am and 8.30am.
Junior Show Person
Do you know someone between the ages of three and 17 who helps their family and is involved in their community? They can be wonderful volunteers, incredible athletes or performers, animal or environment lovers or a combination of all of these. Participants will be interviewed on stage on March 18, and can dress up for it if they wish.
"It's about the soul of the person and the good they're doing," Ms Love said.
A child between the ages of three to nine will be crowned at 4pm and one between 10 and 17 will be awarded at 5pm.
Mullet Competition
Have you been sporting a quality mullet you want to show off to the community? You're in luck. Residents of all ages can come along to see who has the best locks on March 19 at 4.30pm. Make sure you're at the undercover stage by then to fill in an entry form. Fifty dollars will be awarded to the best mullets on children under 12, those under 18 and adults.
