Southern Highlands Community Hospice to help extend palliative care services through the Highlands
The Southern Highlands Community Hospice is able to focus on funding palliative care to patients through service providers thanks to a change in the constitution. The charity will have the opportunity to offer specialist care to Highlanders who need it most.

Andy Thomson knew that the one-hundredth guitar crafted at T. Guitars needed to be special - with never-before-seen features that showcased the business's legacy in the Highlands. The milestone guitar has another reason to stand out from its predecessors - it is a collaborative piece with Scottish whiskey distillery The Balvenie, which was founded and built by William Grant in 1892. Ten Balvenie Model No.3 Thinline Deluxe were made for the occasion, and they are all contain subtle touches that honour both business' legacies.
Young Highlanders go on many adventures with ASDESI's Holiday Kids Klub
Highlanders from the ages of six to 16 saw zoo animals, boarded trains, explored the great outdoors and got up to much more with the ASDESI Holiday Kids Club. The Illwarra Fly, Thirlmere Railway Museum and Steam Train ride and Kiama Blowhole were some of the the places they visited in the January school holidays.
Wingecarribee Vocal Muster performers give certificate of appreciation to long-time supporter
Young and aspiring performers from the Wingecarribee Vocal Muster presented long-time supporter Graham Marcolin with a certificate of appreciation this week. Mr Marcolin, the owner of the McDonalds' in Moss Vale and Sutton Forest, has been supporting young Highlanders who sing and perform at the muster for about three years.
Eric Savage and Jeremy Millward named 2022 Citizen and Young Citizen of the Year
Two dedicated Highlanders were named citizens of the year this week. Eric Savage, a volunteer within the Berrima Residents Association and Harper's Mansion was named the Australia Day Citizen of the Year. Moss Vale High School Captain Jeremy Millward was named the Young Citizen of the Year. Jeremy was recognised for his efforts raising funds and awareness for mental health.

The Southern Highlands Netball Association will hopefully reap the rewards of a new Netball NSW campaign which encourages more participation in the sport. The campaign also focuses on positive aspects of netball such as teamwork and friendship.
Moss Vale Golf Club break seven-year drought in Whyte Cup
The Moss Vale Golf Club emerged from the Whyte Cup 2BBB team event as champions. The team reclaimed the title after seven years with an eight-shot victory.
