Despite a global pandemic, there was nothing stopping students from St Paul's International College from putting their best efforts into the HSC.

A St Paul's spokesperson said they were very pleased that their students overcame a very difficult period in the last two years.
"More than half of our students achieved a Band 5 and/or Band 6 in one or more of their subjects," they said.
"We had 36 students in the entire group with some studying online from overseas.
"We congratulate these high achievers and every student who well and truly achieved their personal best in the HSC 2021."
This year's Dux was awarded to Daisy Mai.

"St Paul's International College has given me an inspirational "playground" to utilise and develop my creativity," she said.
"I have chosen to study a double degree next year - a bachelor of commerce and art, at Monash University as I want to focus directly on marketing.
"I believe this will assist my creativity to bloom in the future."
St Paul's alumnus Liam McIntyre received a band six for Chinese Continuers.
First picking up the language skills in Year 7, Liam decided to continue learning Mandarin in year 11 and 12, citing the importance the language has in the business sector.
"I was really proud," he said.
"I'm really happy with my marks. My hard work and dedication paid off."
To prepare himself for the HSC, Liam said he had a study timetable prepared, but always found time for balance.
"With trials and assesments, I would always make sure to also have fun, go on bike rides," he said.
Liam hopes to study architecture at university.
"I love the facade and the history," he said.
"I love family drives around the Southern Highlands and other areas looking at houses."
School Captain Amy Aquilina received a band six in standard maths.
"I was quite happy overall with my results," she said.
"Especially since it was a challenging year.
Amy will soon head off to Macquarie University, following an early acceptance to uni.
"I wasn't overly worried about my ATAR," she said.
"I'm hoping to do a double degree in congnitive and brain science, and psychology."
As for her parents, Amy said they were "emotional".
"They were very happy with my results and extremely proud," she said.
