The Bowral Art Gallery has officially opened its doors for the year with a new exhibition, a full calendar and confirmation of the first competition.

Highlanders now have the opportunity to discover artworks by members of the gallery in a variety of styles and mediums, with the Summer Members Exhibition.
The showcase commenced on January 22, and will be displayed until February 6.
"Come along and admire, get inspired or even acquire a beautiful artwork," a gallery statement said on Facebook.
"You can still view all these wonderful works daily in a COVID-safe environment," another statement said.

One artwork will be awarded People's Choice and $200.
This will be followed by an exhibition from gallery regulars Three Wingecarribee Painters from February 10, to 21.
Paul Macklins' Finding Your Way Group will then showcase Finding Your Way from February 24, to March 1.
The Bowral Sculpture Prize will follow this, and be displayed in the gallery from March 5, until March 20.
Michael Purdy is going to judge the competition, and $2000 will be awarded for first place, $500 for second and $200 for people's choice.
A range of sculptures will be on display, made from materials like metal, ceramics, wood and wool.
The BOCCA Art and Sculpture Prize, Waterbrook Landscape Prize, John Copes Portrait Prize and The Agency - Still Life Prize will also take place throughout the year.
The gallery is open daily from 10am to 4pm.
