New movie release: The Addams Family 2 (PG)
- From January 6, Empire Cinema
Join the Addams Family for this new and hilarious animated sequel. Highlanders of all ages can also see Sing 2 (PG), Spiderman: No Way Home (M), Ghostbusters: Afterlife (PG), West Side Story (M), House of Gucci (MA 15+) and The Matrix Resurrect (M), which all came out recently.

Bowral Show
- January 8 and 9, Bong Bong Picnic Race Course, 8.30am
Come along for a day full of activities for all ages this weekend. All entries for the pavilion need to be in by January 7 at 4.30pm. There will be a variety of photographs, needlework, crafts, cookery, art by young Highlanders and more on display. Prizes will be awarded to different entrants.
There will also be lots of activities for children and and an equine paraphernalia competition over at the show.
Exhibition: The Dingo Project opening
- January 8, Ngununggula
The Dingo Project highlights the talents of Indigenous such as Danie Mellor, Karla Dickens, Blak Douglas, Lin Onus, Garth Lena, Michael Cook and Fiona Foley.
The project has been curated by Aboriginal curator and writer Djon Mundine OAM FAHA, and pays tribute to Mittagong and the many dingoes that lived in the area long ago.
Official proceedings and performances will kick off at noon at the gallery.
Second Sunday Session
- January 9, Robertson Bowling Club, 11am-3pm
The Highlands Folk Music Group loves to entertain guests at the club, and help create a relaxed atmosphere. The group of friends sit around a table, have some yarns and play a variety of reels, jigs and ballads from Australia, England, Ireland and Scotland.
Exhibition: The Gesture of Narrative
- December 10-February 6, Sturt
This exhibition is a celebration of strength, storytelling and imagination through a series of sculptures, drawings, textiles and prints. It will feature artworks from Andrew Antoniou, Veronica Cay, Victoria Pitel, Amanda Shelsher, Jane Theau, Vince Vozzo and Slavica Zikovic.
Exhibition: Creative and Thriving
- Until January 28, Council's Civic Centre, 8.30 am to 4.30 pm on weekdays
This inclusive art exhibition celebrates over 20 local artists and makers with a disability for the International Day of Disability. Artists who have chosen to have their works for sale will have all proceeds go directly back to them.
Art exhibition: At Home and Away
- Until January 29, CTC Robertson Thursday - Friday 10am-4pm and Saturday 10am-1pm
Trish and Catriona are local artists will be showcasing their unique artistic styles in this exhibition. The artworks explore a variety of subject matters.
Exhibition: x pollination
- Until February 7, Retford Park, Fridays to Mondays from 10am-4pm
Come and discover a collection of artworks such as paintings, photos, prints and sculptures by a group of artists known as the Artists of the Round Yard. Fifteen local artists have come together to show the beauty of cross pollination throughout nature and society.
The exhibition is free and located in the White Cottage on the premises.
Attendees also have the opportunity to discover all of the gardens and sculptures at the property in Bowral.
