A media spokesperson from the South Western Sydney Local Health District (SWSLHD) confirmed the statistic to the Southern Highland News on January 3.
According to NSW Health data, there have been 593 cases in the LGA in the last four weeks, up to 8pm on January 2.
A total of 12,597 COVID tests have also been conducted in this period in the region.
Cases in the Highlands have been increasing since December.

More than 95 per cent of residents in the Wingecarribee Shire have had one or two COVID-19 vaccinations.
Today's cases (January 3) across NSW have increased from 18,278 (January 2) to 20,794, and four deaths have also been recorded.
The figures also revealed that 1204 people were in hospital, and 95 in intensive care.
Vaccination rates statewide remain unchanged for residents over the age of 16 with 93.6 per cent being double vaccinated, and 95 per cent only having one vaccination.
A total of 81.5 per cent of residents between the ages of 12 and 15 have had one COVID-19 vaccination and 78.2 per cent have had two vaccines.
In the 24 hours to 8pm last night, 96,765 COVID tests were conducted across the state.
