Minister for Local Government announces public inquiry into Wingecarribee Shire Council
A public inquiry will be held into Wingecarribee Shire Council.
The annoucement was first made in the New South Wales Government Gazette, September 1, 2021.

Ben Quilty's Afghanistan appeal on track to donate $4 million...for starters
As Highlands artist Ben Quilty watched the scenes of terror and despair in Afghanistan in the last few weeks, he felt desperate to do something.
Having travelled to the country in 2011 as an official war artist, and then - while part of a World Vision awareness-raising trip in 2016 - met Afghan refugees in camps all over the Middle East and into Europe, he felt their distress deeply.

Moss Vale High School student on a mission to raise mental health awareness
Moss Vale High School year 11 student Jeremy Millward is on a mission to raise awareness for mental health.
A mental health advocate and Young Conversation Champion Award recipient, Jeremy is raising funds for R U OK Day (Thursday, September 9) with a little help from Moss Vale Community Pharmacy.
This isn't Jeremy's first foray into raising awareness for mental health, last year he raised awareness for R U OK at Moss Vale High School with a 'Wear it Yellow Day'.
Disrespectful, degrading: veterans rattled by return and earn plan
The northern entrance to Bowral is a space of which residents are rightfully proud.
In front of and beside the town pool, a park full of trees creates a space of quiet beauty.
But it's not just pretty - it's intensely meaningful for veterans of the Vietnam War.
The park features a substantial memorial and the famous Cherry Tree Walk, with a tree planted to honour each of those who died while serving in Vietnam.
That's why veterans, and residents in general, have been so upset by a proposal to locate a return and earn machine only 15 metres from the walkway, in the Bowral Pool carpark. Read more about it here.
Controversial development on public exhibition ahead of Land and Environment court date
A controversial development application to build several student bush cabins on Frensham grounds is on public exhibition ahead of a Land and Environment court date.
A neighbour notification document stated that the development application 20/0747 for proposed amended plans would be on public exhibition between September 20, 2021, and October 11, 2021. Read more about it here.
