The honours, which are revealed monthly and culminate in an annual awards night, have not been announced since April due to COVID restrictions.
Committee member Ian McCrae said efforts would instead focus on delivering a 'mega' event, likely in 2023.
"It's more to do with the lack of sport throughout the year because of COVID," he said.
"We're going to combine those into next year's so people won't miss out."
Despite the awards being cancelled again and lockdowns prematurely ending many sporting seasons, several recipients were still announced in the first half of this year.
In January much-loved Highlands sporting star Steven Baines took out the Senior Award for his efforts with the Hilltop Northern Villages Cricket Club. His century in a T20 win over Robertson Burrawang was a particular highlight as he captained both that side and Third Grade.
Jasmine Shakeshaft won the Junior Award for her efforts in breaking the Under 17 girls Bowral Little Athletics triple jump record.
February saw Lucas Hill break the Under 9 boys 800 metre record at Bowral, thus winning the Junior Award. Cyclist Kevin O'Malley was the Senior recipient after he achieved two podium finishes at National Cycling Championship races.
Holly Rea was crowned state champion in the Under 15 girls 100 metre during March, sealing her Junior Award. Going even faster was the Senior recipient, Lachlan Mineef, who made his debut in the TCR racing series, finishing ninth in the Phillip Island race.
Lastly, April saw all-round sports star Jorgi Webb become Moss Vale High's first female rugby league rep. She represented the Southern NSW Representative side after only playing a handful of games. This, plus her continued form for Macarthur Rams in the Women's football NPL 1 competition made her the Junior Award winner.
The Senior category went to Year 12 Oxley College student and horse rider Anneleise Wansey after she and her chestnut gelding Kolora Stud St Patrick were named most successful young rider at the Sydney Royal Easter Show.
