The Tina Macpherson Cup means so much more than a competition to the Tigers as captain Shania Martin summed up.
"Being able to watch young girls like I was, fall in love with the sport and work as a team in a win or lose situation just makes me so proud to lead a team in such a great competition," she said.
"I very much look forward to seeing how this develops and watching more and more girls and women get involved in such a great game of skill, enjoyment and teamwork."
The team has a great core of returning players and will welcome in some new faces. Returning player Sarah Pike said she enjoyed the close-knit nature of the squad.
"I love playing for the Tigers as it's a tight knit group that is inclusive and supportive," she said.
"This is particularly important as a beginner player in order to develop my cricket skills and gain confidence on the field.
"The Tigers are a family club that are there for you when times are tough, but aren't afraid to have a good time to celebrate a win."
You can catch the action at Stephens Park this Wednesday (November 17) with games starting at 4:45pm. The Tigers are bound to have their signature crowd of supporters there cheering them on.
