Students across NSW, including the Wingecarribee, will sit the first paper of their English exam tomorrow, November 9, almost a month after originally scheduled.
Moss Vale High School student Matthew Kennedy said the delay had taken some of the momentum out of the process.
"For me, the stress with the exams has gone away - I'm just numb to it," he said.
"I think it's going to be okay though."
A school captain, and already holding early entry into a Bachelor of Creative Arts (Acting) at UOW and the UOW Principal's Recommendation Scholarship, Matthew will sit a broad range of subjects including physics, advanced maths, music and VET entertainment.
He's not sure how he'll feel when he finishes.
"Some days you feel like you're waiting forever (for the end), but another part of me feels like - what will I do when it's over?" he said.
The exams run until December 2, with the last to finish including dance and IT students.
