The draft study uses historical data and computer modelling to help prepare and minimise the impacts of future flooding events across the Wingecarribee River catchment.
The study will also be used to inform future developments proposals.
The draft flood study supersedes a previous review undertaken in 2014 and includes significant flooding events recorded in the years since the initial review.
The council prepared the draft Review of the Wingecarribee River Flood Study after successfully securing $130,000 in grant funding from the NSW Department of Planning, Industry and Environment.
